There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1
Come on summer time! Who is ready for summer? Beach time. Couch time. Friend time. Family time. Bar B Q's. Lake time. Boat time. Holiday. Fireworks on the 4th of July. Those are a few things that come to my mind about summer. How bout you?
"There is a time for everything!" scripture says. I don't know about you but that alone is revelation to me. There certainly doesn't seem to be a time for everything in my life. But this verse encourages me. I plan to believe the Word of the Lord on this one & stop saying, "There's just not enough time in the day..." and "If only there were enough time..." and "oh, to have more time to get everything done..." I know I'm not alone in feeling that way but guess what?! Either the scripture is true or it's not and this verse I have seen a hundred times just came alive to me and I hope it does to you too. There is, according to God, a time for everything and a season for every activity.
Well, this season is SUMMER☀️ so go with it! Go with activities you long to do this summer. Be in this season. What would happen to our health, out psyches, our entire lives if we stopped stressing over tomorrow and began to be in the now? Be in this season. Embrace it. Celebrate it. What season are you in in life? Acknowledge the season. Be fully where you are unapologetically and enjoy it. Stop aways looking to the next season and "kill it" right where you are. Yes, plan ahead but not so much that you miss this season. That's been hard for us. We are such long term planners by nature that we have spent a lot of time tripping over what's right in front of us. Be in the now. Go to the beach. Visit with a friend. Get those photos into albums. Get organized. Start that Mommy & Me group. Go to the pool a lot. Take that trip. Go for tennis lessons. Take a moment and write down your dream summer and have it! Why not? There is no time like the present. There is a time for every activity under the heavens the bible says. Write down some summer activities you have always wanted to do and decide this summer will be the summer to do them!
Whatever you do, Happy Summer!
