Funny story ~ When my husband and I were dating, he was having a hard time with my past and not sure if I was the one for him because of it. One night we were on the phone and arguing about things when I finally said to him with strength and dignity, "Either I am a Proverbs 31 woman or not. So marry me or leave me alone." I hung up the phone and I meant it. Here's the deal girls, you gotta be strong and teach people how to treat you with dignity.
Kevin will tell you today that it was his insecurities that made it difficult for him to trust himself so the easiest thing was to focus on my issues. I know, a lil deep for a Monday morning. The point is this, it was really his issue and not even mine that he was fighting with. It took me having strength and dignity to call him on it. He openly talks about this so its ok for me to share this. Actually my strength to say that to him only made him more attracted to me and know even more that I was the one for him.
Fast forward to over 20 years later with 2 fantastic boys who rise up and call me blessed, lots of traveling to far away places and bringing back food and fine clothes for my family.

My lamp certainly is on late many nights from working around the clock. My husband trusts me and is confident in me. And I laugh, oh do I laugh, not fearing the future at all.
